Hublot Watches
Hublot is the French word for "porthole," a word indicating this company's desire to create a watch more like a window than anything else. The company's founder, Carlo Crocco designed his first watch in 1977, presenting it to dubious colleagues at Basel Fair in 1980. The watch was a sensation. In the 1990's, other companies followed Hublot's suit and adopted natural rubber. For Hublot, though, rubber is not a fashion trend, but a philosophy and brand trade-mark. Today, Hublot remains an independent family firm.
